Customer Support Engineer (Prachinburi)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Customer Support Engineer based in Prachinburi. The role covers customer service activities for updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing highly complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows, and represents the company to the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Update, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex capital equipment at customer sites and trade shows
• Represent the company to the customer and take accountability for customer satisfaction with service
• Ensure operational quality of system equipment
• Coordinate with customers to minimise downtime, which may include leading or taking part in continuous improvement projects
• Carry out system installation, qualification, upgrades and retrofits
• Deliver customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance support for user applications
• Handle other administrative tasks such as preparing quotes, travel expenses and parts needed, and assisting the regional admin with quotes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience in field service or equipment maintenance, preferably in the semiconductor or PCB industries; candidates with no experience may be considered for an entry-level position
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent problem-solving ability and the ability to work independently
• Ability to work overtime and travel at short notice (overtime is compensated)
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin, due to interaction with Mandarin-speaking customers
