Supplier Quality Engineer II

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer II in Rayong. The engineer acts as the technical focal point for supplier quality issues, working directly with manufacturers and communicating the status of non-conforming parts and suppliers across all programs. The role also evaluates supplier performance, defines inspection processes and guides the site-level receiving inspection function.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal person for commodity-related quality and functional issues arising from purchased components.
• Resolve production-critical supplier issues in a timely way and ensure corrective actions are implemented correctly.
• Act as the point of contact for inspection plans and methods, and guide Receiving Inspection Auditors.
• Carry out ongoing site supplier evaluations using receiving inspection, MRB, customer returns and SCAR data, and liaise with customer work cells; report results internally, to suppliers and to customers where applicable.
• Perform supplier audits, interfacing with Corporate SQE where applicable.
• Provide documentation to inspect components according to inspection plans in SAP.
• Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base and help suppliers achieve Dock-to-Stock certification under the vendor performance system.
• Drive supplier selection strategies that support cost savings across customer programs.
• Communicate issues affecting product manufacturability and costs to affected departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) preferred.
• Ability to speak and write English is compulsory.

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and to present information to management and external groups.
• Basic algebra, geometry, statistics and percentage calculations.
