Product Manager - Insect Control

About the role

Syngenta, part of the Syngenta Group, is looking for a Product Manager for its fungicide and insecticide products in the Bangkok area. The role sets and implements the country unit (CU) direction for the product line in line with territory crop and indication strategies, and drives profitable market share growth.

Key responsibilities

• Set and implement CU direction for fungicide/insecticide products in line with territory crop and indication strategies
• Co-develop product portfolio, product lifecycle and brand planning with the Territory Asset Head
• Build portfolio strategies aligned to market needs and support the CU 5-year plan
• Align country brand plans to Territory Asset strategies and handle operational marketing aspects such as SOP, pricing, SPP and HPC
• Maximise profit from the fungicide/insecticide portfolio and act as the contact point for Territory functions on strategy and portfolio matters
• Lead brand planning, post-patent defence, product lifecycle management and value and portfolio pricing
• Lead NPI excellence through coordinating an NPI team and process where relevant
• Contribute to the CU Commercial Team, Territory Portfolio Leadership team and crop campaign teams
• Develop the 5-year CU portfolio plan and bring market intelligence and customer insight into brand and marketing plans
• Work with the CU Head of Marketing and Territory Asset Heads to reassess annual priorities and allocate resources optimally

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in agricultural chemicals, in a commercial or technical role
• Good working relationship with customers and channels in the country
• Understanding of market dynamics and competition in the CU insecticide markets
• Ability to design effective product lifecycle and brand strategies, and to anticipate market changes
• Project management ability
