Regional Marketing and Communication Manager – Asia

About the role

Aviagen is looking for a Regional Marketing and Communication Manager for its poultry genetics business, based in Bangkok, Thailand. The role leads a team of two and balances regional commercial priorities with global brand consistency, reporting directly to the President, Asia with a dotted line to the Director of Global Marketing and Corporate Communication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Asia regional marketing strategy, translating global strategy into market-specific plans for countries such as Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Thailand and Japan
• Analyse sales, market intelligence and competitor trends, and feed regional insights into global marketing planning
• Lead, coach and manage two direct reports, allocating resources and supporting succession planning
• Ensure consistent global brand standards with appropriate localisation, oversee promotional materials, campaigns and stakeholder communications
• Direct regional digital marketing, including website content, social media, email/CRM campaigns and content localisation and translation
• Oversee regional presence at trade shows and conferences, support Sales and Technical Services teams, and build relationships with industry influencers
• Contribute to product development and pricing strategy, and prepare and monitor the regional marketing budget

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, including leading marketing across several countries
• Experience in a matrixed reporting structure and marketing into China or other Asian markets strongly preferred
• Proven people leadership experience and a track record of product launches
• Advantageous: poultry, animal health or related industry experience, and PR event experience

• Market analysis, CRM tool management and digital platform capability (including China's ecosystem such as WeChat)

• Comfortable working across cultural, language and regulatory differences across Asia
