Sales Manager - Modern Trade (FMCG)

About the role

HRnetOne is recruiting a Sales Manager for Modern Trade in the FMCG/Consumer Products industry, based in Bangkok. The role covers sales planning, trade negotiations, account management and trade marketing for modern trade customers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales value, volume, market share and financial targets within budget, with accurate supply and inventory forecasts.
• Develop the MT sales strategy, trade marketing strategy and action plan aligned with sales direction.
• Negotiate and manage strategic trading terms to grow sales, distribution and profitability by channel and by store.
• Build and maintain relationships with MT accounts through top-to-top meetings and quarterly and annual business reviews, applying category management principles.
• Review trade support activities, oversee in-store compliance and effectiveness, and analyse market trends and competitor activity.
• Deliver insights to improve the MT sales plan and achieve strategic objectives per customer (gross sales, trade discount, net sales, gross profit, trade spend, 4Ps and EBITDA).
• Manage pricing, trade promotions, special events and displays, including trade budget management and range and space optimisation.
• Work with the marketing team on new product launches and coordinate with other department heads (marketing, customer service, production, logistics, warehouse, QA&QC, accounting).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Management, Marketing Communication or Branding.
• At least 5-10 years of progressive FMCG experience, including modern trade.
• Own car and driving licence, able to travel.
• Good command of English and Thai.

Required skills

• Good computer literacy: MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
