APAC Regional Operational Process Improvement Intern

About the role

Michelin Thailand is looking for a highly motivated intern to support a strategic study on optimizing temporary staff manning and improving operational processes. The intern works closely with the project lead to analyze work processes and flows, evaluate staffing models, identify improvement opportunities and help develop recommendations that improve efficiency, service quality and cost effectiveness. The internship lasts 3 months and is based in Bangkok.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze temporary staffing demand, utilization and productivity, benchmark staffing practices and support workforce planning and manpower forecasting
• Map existing operational processes, conduct observations and stakeholder interviews, and apply Lean or continuous improvement methods to find bottlenecks
• Analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively using Excel, build dashboards and reports, and prepare management-ready recommendations and a final study report
• Coordinate with managers, operational teams and staffing agencies, run data-gathering workshops and present findings to project sponsors

Required profile

• Student or recent graduate in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Human Resources
• Data-driven, curious and able to turn data into actionable recommendations
• Ability to work independently and manage several tasks

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to organize and analyze large data sets
• Strong communication and presentation skills
