Deputy Structures Lead - Bridge or Port Structures

About the role

Egis, a global organisation in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services, is hiring a Deputy Structures Lead for its growing design centre in Bangkok. The role supports the Structures Lead in managing the structure team for the design production of bridges and port/marine structures, covering commercial development, production delivery, quality control, invoicing, recruitment and training.

Key responsibilities

• Project management: support the appointment and management of project managers, and prepare or review structural analysis and detailed design for bridges, viaducts, ports and other civil structures
• Commercial: prepare technical and commercial design offers (bids) for the Transportation business line and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Recruitment and development: recruit structural engineers and CAD/BIM technicians, ensure competency plans and guide junior staff
• Department management: support the operational and line management of the team, take part in department strategy and recruitment planning, and coordinate with HR, IT and Finance

Required profile

• Master's degree (preferred) in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 10-15 years of experience in design of bridge or port/marine structures, including concrete or steel
• Project management experience and ability to work under limited supervision
• Good level of English (speaking and writing) and experience in an international, multi-cultural environment

Required skills

• International codes: Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO
• Structural modelling software such as Sofistik, SCIA, Midas or similar
• BIM project experience
• Leadership, management and team-oriented skills
