Part-Time Food Assistant - IKEA Phuket

About the role

IKEA Phuket is looking for a part-time Food Assistant. The role supports the manager and the team in keeping the food area clean, tidy, organised, priced and inviting, and in helping customers shop easily and conveniently throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Help the manager and the team develop and implement a clear IKEA Food action plan for the store.
• Keep the area of responsibility clean, tidy, organised, priced, attractive and inviting at all times.
• Contribute to an easy buying process for customers at all times of the day.
• Follow internal rules, policies and daily operational routines on quality, food safety and stock figures as set by the manager.
• Act proactively to avoid bottlenecks and consistently improve customer satisfaction.
• Help the manager with sales forecasting, which enables proper supply planning, ordering, efficient goods handling and stock control.
• Support relevant marketing and in-store activities.

Required profile

• Previous service environment experience, ideally in sales or hospitality.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Curious and eager to learn, interested in people's everyday lives at home and in-home furnishings.
• Confident in approaching and talking to people in a friendly manner.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, specifically MS Office.
