Pastry Kitchen Assistant – Fixed Term Contract

About the role

Seabourn is seeking a motivated Pastry Kitchen Assistant to join its culinary team aboard the vessel. You will support buffet preparation, plating, and service across all galleys, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation for guests at sea.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food at assigned stations, following menus and recipes.
• Maintain quality, quantity, and presentation of buffet items.
• Manage supplies using FIFO method and conduct daily mise en place.
• Assist with loading operations and uphold a collaborative team environment.
• Follow waste‑separation, environmental compliance, and food‑safety procedures.
• Keep workstations clean, report faulty equipment, and use kitchen tools correctly.

Required profile

• Formal culinary education of at least two years.
• Minimum one year of experience in a 5‑star hotel, cruise ship, or high‑profile restaurant.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) is a plus.
• Ability to work in high‑volume settings (500+ meals per service) and follow safety protocols.
