Technical Sales Manager - Pharma & Nutraceutical Accounts

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Technical Sales Manager in Bangkok to manage a portfolio of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical accounts. The role builds trusted advisor relationships with customers by offering technical solutions to formulation-related issues, identifies new opportunities in line with market and segment strategy, and works closely with the value-added services team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions for pharmaceutical formulation development and troubleshoot issues during formulation or manufacturing
• Support technical inquiries and conduct regular business reviews with key customers
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and prepare reports on account performance, sales forecasts and market insights
• Manage contract negotiations, renewals and pricing for the account, and work with suppliers on new product ideas
• Plan customer visits independently, monitor competitors, keep records in the CRM and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as market management, value-added services and customer service

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Technologies, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing, preferably R&D or technical roles designing pharmaceutical dosage forms
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and communication skills, strategic thinking and analytical mindset
• Ability to travel to visit customers and proficiency in English; fluency in a Southeast Asian language is an added advantage
• Sales, account management or CRM certification is a plus

Required skills

• Good understanding of salesforce CRM and other relevant tools
• High competency with Microsoft Office
• Organizational and time-management skills, self-motivated and able to work independently
