Account Engineer (Chemical Industry)

About the role

MKS is looking for an Account Engineer in Bangkok to achieve sales objectives within assigned accounts while providing strong technical service. The role builds long-term customer relationships through key account management, identifies new business opportunities and works closely with internal stakeholders. It supports Mandarin-speaking clients and requires coordination with local Thai colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales targets and sales development plans
• Manage assigned customer accounts and responsibilities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts
• Ensure customer processes meet expectations in quality, efficiency and cost control, and drive continuous improvement
• Provide timely, professional technical support and problem resolution
• Liaise with product market managers and internal teams on technical issues, business opportunities and competitor insights, acting as the main technical bridge between customers and internal teams
• Share technical insights such as consumption trends and competitor analysis with the sales team
• Recommend quality and process improvements to your supervisor
• Embed safety in all activities and comply with laws, regulations and company standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Electroplating or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in sales or technical support within the chemical industry
• Electroplating experience is a strong advantage
• Trilingual (Mandarin, Thai and English) preferred; strong Mandarin and English also welcome
• Valid local driving licence required; international licence preferred for foreign talent
• The role involves travel to industrial estates outside Bangkok
