Data Architect (Banking)

About the role

Capco, a Wipro company and global technology and management consultancy for digital transformation in financial services, is looking for a solution-driven, governance-focused Data Architect to support the design, development and evolution of BankX's enterprise data architecture. The role ensures data is well modeled, secure, high quality, discoverable and optimized for analytics, AI/ML and regulatory requirements, working closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, business stakeholders and Data Governance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain logical and physical data models across domains such as customer, product, transaction and risk, and set architecture principles, naming conventions and modeling standards.
• Design semantic layers, data marts and feature stores for analytics and AI use cases, collaborating with Data Scientists on consistent, reusable features.
• Work with Data Engineers on scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Services, Databricks and Delta Lake, aligning batch, streaming and real-time flows and optimizing storage, partitioning and indexing.
• Partner with Data Governance and Privacy teams to embed classification, lineage and consent management, integrating with Unity Catalog, Azure Purview and enterprise metadata tools.
• Translate business use cases into architectural requirements and provide guidance, templates and standards to enable analytics and engineering teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, SQL and distributed data systems.
• Familiarity with metadata management, data governance and privacy frameworks.
• Ability to design for scalability, security and regulatory compliance.
• Thai and English at intermediate level or above, sufficient for technical discussions, meetings and written documentation.
• Preferred: banking, fintech or regulated industry experience; knowledge of PDPA, Responsible AI and data classification; exposure to feature stores, real-time architecture and semantic modeling.
