Supply Chain NPI Engineer

About the role

HARMAN is hiring a Supply Chain NPI (New Product Introduction) professional in Chonburi, Thailand. The Project Engineer - Industrial Launch leads manufacturing launch activities for Transfer of Work (TOW) or production transfer programs and new product introductions in a new automotive component manufacturing plant. The role manages industrialization activities from BOM release in SAP through Start of Production (SOP), ensuring manufacturing readiness, quality compliance and successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm component readiness before each sample build and manage the project stock area for non-mass-production components.
• Coordinate with supply chain so that component orders are placed on time with suppliers, and manage customer orders manually before SAP setup.
• Build a project components database based on product BOMs, showing customer orders, stock levels, SAP readiness, next batch arrival and on-time indicators.
• Manage new packaging, coordinating with the packaging engineer from receiving requirements to off-tool parts.
• Monitor SAP setup progress (EDI sales order entry, MRP, material release document, scheduling agreement) and support manual purchase orders with purchasing and supply chain until SAP is fully set up.
• Coordinate with production to pack samples and with supply chain on shipment, and escalate customs issues or low-stock shortages.
• Manage design-change component cut-off stocks to minimise scrap.

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of supply chain experience.
• Material planning experience and awareness of material shortages.
• Familiarity with engineering BOMs and engineering changes, and with E-component management in the automotive industry.
• Cross-functional communication skills and good command of English.

Required skills

• Good level of Microsoft Excel and SAP.
