Technical Sales Engineer - IBM Presales

About the role

Ingram Micro is looking for a Presales Technical Sales Engineer for IBM Solutions in Bangkok. The role provides technical expertise and solution consulting for IBM's software and technology portfolio, working closely with sales teams, business partners and customers to understand their needs, design solutions and support the sales process through presentations, demonstrations and Proof of Concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers and partners to understand business requirements and recommend IBM solutions.
• Design and propose solutions across IBM's portfolio, including AI, Automation, Integration, Data, Security and Hybrid Cloud.
• Deliver solution presentations, product demonstrations, workshops and Proof of Concepts.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architecture and Bills of Materials where applicable.
• Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses and technical consultation throughout the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers, vendors and business partners on customer solutions.
• Stay current with IBM technologies, product roadmap and industry trends.
• Support partner enablement and technical training when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, solution architecture or technical sales.
• Experience with IBM solutions or enterprise software technologies.
• Experience delivering solution presentations, demonstrations, workshops and POCs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, hybrid cloud, middleware, automation or AI solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, good command of English.
