Accounting Manager

About the role

HRnetOne is hiring an Accounting Manager in Thailand, reporting to the Chief Accountant. The role covers financial close and reporting, audit and compliance, accounts payable, fixed assets and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, including journal entry reviews and trial balance validation, and review complex balance sheet reconciliations with proper accruals, prepayments and revenue/expense matching.
• Lead internal and external audit preparation and act as the main contact for audit requests and compliance reviews.
• Ensure financial records comply with TFRS/IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.
• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable: vendor invoices, payment runs, withholding tax management, AP aging monitoring, payment cycle optimisation and vendor relationships.
• Enforce 3-way matching (PO, receiving, invoice) and internal control approvals to prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments.
• Direct the fixed asset lifecycle: CapEx tracking, asset tagging, depreciation, disposal and write-offs, and reconcile physical counts with the Fixed Asset Register.
• Supervise, train and mentor GL, AP and fixed asset accounting staff, and identify bottlenecks to automate processes within the ERP system.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting; CPA or professional accounting license preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Deep knowledge of GL/AP/FA workflows, local tax compliance (VAT, WHT), internal controls and financial statement preparation.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with major ERP systems such as SAP B1 / SAP S/4HANA.
• Advanced MS Excel.
• Analytical thinking, project leadership, structured communication and team management.
